Online Competition Bookings

We are soon to approach our annual competition season. We are aware that members booking these matches will be asked to book multiple sessions. In the majority of our competitions this is not necessary. Does anyone have any advice on how we can police this to prevent the diary becoming blocked by these online bookings unnecessarily, other than asking members to book via the Green Stewards?
